Dr Stephen Dinneen

Dr Stephen Dinneen joined D.O.C. in 2009 after returning from training in middle distance running and traveling in Kenya and Europe.  Stephen competed his Masters of Osteopathy at R.M.I.T. University in the effects of osteopathic technique on stress in healthy adult patients.

Sport Injuries / Exercise Rehabilitation
Dr Stephen Dinneen completed a Human Movement Sport Science degree in 2001 at R.M.I.T. University and has since worked in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer, running and hydro therapy instructor.  Stephen has treated several of the current Australian middle distance runners who competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2009 World Championships in Germany.  Being an extremely active individual from an amateur to elite level, and participating in a vast number of sports, Stephen understands and enjoys treating active people. Through his own injuries, working in the gym, taking hydro therapy and treating athletes, he knows how important rehabilitation and injury prevention are.

Children
Dr Stephen Dinneen is the youngest of eight children in his family with many nieces and nephews at hand.  It is no wonder that he has developed an interest in treating children, whose bodies respond so well to the osteopathic approach.

These days Dr Stephen Dinneen is focused on his osteopathic career and his running, competing at both state and national levels, with the goal of representing Australia at World Cross Country and Track & Field in the next 2-4 years.
